Welcome!

visitHi! Welcome to my website and thanks for visiting.
About me
I'm a visiting scientist at the Australian National University, working on all things mountain ecology (but with a soft spot for invertebrates and snow).
I completed my PhD in 2015/16, at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Ary Hoffman and Michael Nash, and followed this up with a post-doc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This work was focused on thermal adaptation and population genetic structure in alpine grasshoppers, snow ecology and niche evolution. Before this, I completed my undergraduate degree at the Australian National University, and my Honours project investigated the benefits of multiple mating in fiddler crabs (and more generally) under the amazing supervision of Pat Backwell and Michael Jennions. For more information on my research, please go to the Research page. When I'm not studying critters in the mountains, I like to bake, eat baked goods, drink hot chocolate, go hiking, play soccer, windsurf, and any combination of the above (though perhaps not all simultaneously). Also sailing. I love sailing.
I hope to keep this website updated with wonderful things from my research, other interesting things I come across, and photos from fieldwork and other activities. I will also attempt to keep my CV up to date.
