Wow, I started writing this post 6 months ago! How the time flies when there's a thesis to write. When I say "started writing" I really mean "wrote the title". I don't really remember what I was going to write, so this is going to stay short. The short story is that I finally made it to the top of South Ramshead. Despite being demoted to an unnamed peak on the latest maps, this is one nice mountain and the views...incredible. The walk up is also interesting - a bit (a lot) of bush-bashing, some creative path-following and lots of grasshoppers. Luckily, I have an excellent excuse to come back up here next summer!

AuthorWhat can I say? I love the mountains. That's what drew me to my PhD project and I've been lucky enough to spend most of the summer and autumn up here. Here you'll find some ramblings about various mountains I've explored in the search for grasshoppers, as well as other adventures. Enjoy! Archives
